## The Problem

A nonprofit website has a lot of jobs: explain the mission, show impact, take donations, list programs and events, and recruit volunteers. Many end up as a patchwork that only one former volunteer knows how to edit.

Budgets are set by boards and staff time is short, so the site has to be cheap to run and easy to keep up to date.

## What I Do

I start with who the site is for, such as donors, the people you serve, partners and volunteers, and what each should do next. The page plan follows from that.

I build on WordPress with Bricks Builder or a lightweight theme, so pages stay fast and staff can edit content without breaking the layout. Structured content, such as programs, stories or profiles, gets its own fields and templates.

Donations, forms and email connect to the tools you already use, or I help you choose them.

## Deliverables

- A page plan built around your audiences and what you want each one to do.
- A WordPress site staff can update, with templates for programs, stories and events.
- Donation, contact and sign-up forms connected to your tools.
- Accessibility and speed checks before launch.
- A walkthrough and a short written guide for staff.

## Questions

### Can you redesign our existing nonprofit website?

Yes. I keep the content that works, move it into a cleaner structure, and redirect old URLs so links and search rankings carry over.

### Can our staff update the site themselves?

Yes, and that's a core requirement. Pages are built so staff edit text, images and structured content, such as programs or stories, without touching the layout.

### Can you add online donations?

Yes. I connect the donation platform you use, or help you pick one, and make the donate button easy to find on every page.

### Do you only build for nonprofits?

No, I build for businesses too. But nonprofit sites have their own needs, such as donors, volunteers, boards and small teams. I've built for an adoption agency, a historic preservation society and an education equity organization.

### Will the site be accessible?

I build with accessibility in mind, including clear heading structure, keyboard navigation, alt text and colour contrast, and check pages before launch.

### How much does a nonprofit website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, features and integrations. After a short call, I send a scope and a quote, which is easy to take to a board.
